The Women's Day
From the moment we
were born, women have been always victims of violence and oppression. Firstly, women have been away from themselves
and their gender. They were born as a kind of suppressed between what they should
be and what they are. They did not know their personalities and bodies. Their
ego was defined as a kind that is related to men. Moreover, women were thought
as a missing man. Since the medicine were taken from women and they were excluded
from society and were declared to be witches and wizards, they have never
manage to learn about their bodies exactly. They could not learn their past. To
illustrate, women could not learn that they could be ‘dervish sheikh’, those
lodges were like that shelter today, Women’s World Magazine, Nezihe Muhiddin fighting
fort he right to elect and be elected and Women The People Party that was
founded by her. So, of course they could not obtain any information about the
women fighting, they grew up by being imposed on the perception of gender.
Women
have been always declared to be ‘guilty’. There are a lot of examples for that
: The public prosecutors that said to
the victims of rape ‘’you seem to be a sligh, so were you raped ?’’, the
13 year old girl who was raped and believed to be the consent of that, the fact
that police beated Fevziye Cengiz because of that she was a hostess, and Gülşah
Aktürk whose demand for protection was turned back the governor and who was
murdered…
We
should remember that women are the architect of a society. The development of a
society, moral integrity and the scructure of the family is completely
dependent on women. Also, we should not forget that Atatürk always believed
that our women need attain civil, political and social rights.
